Zennox Trade and a Telegram Signal Group: 72% Recovered in Manchester

A free Telegram “VIP signals” group did the marketing; Zennox Trade collected the money. Our client followed the group’s “guaranteed” calls onto the Zennox platform and lost £41,800. We recovered just under three-quarters of it.

ABackground

Our client joined a Telegram group posting screenshots of “winning” trades and steered everyone to open accounts with Zennox Trade to “copy the desk.” Early small deposits appeared to track the signals perfectly.

Encouraged by the group’s admins, he scaled up his Zennox balance in USDT on the Tron network, where transfers are fast and cheap.

BWhere it turned

When he tried to withdraw, Zennox Trade required a “profit-release deposit” equal to a share of his gains. The group admins echoed the demand, then muted him when he refused.

The signals, the wins, and the community were all set dressing for a single goal: keep deposits flowing into Zennox.

The group felt like a community of real traders. It was all there to push me into Zennox Trade.— James P., Manchester, UK

COur engagement

  1. 01
    Intake and capture

We preserved the Telegram history, the Zennox account records, and the USDT-TRC20 transaction IDs before anything could be deleted.

  2. 02
    On-chain tracing

The TRC20 transfers were traced to a consolidation wallet and on to two exchange deposit addresses.

  3. 03
    Exchange freeze requests

We filed freeze requests with both exchanges, supported by the trace and the platform evidence.

  4. 04
    Reporting

We reported Zennox Trade and the group to Action Fraud and shared indicators with the receiving exchanges.

  5. 05
    Recovery

One exchange froze and released the larger deposit; a second returned a partial balance.

Recovery outcome72%

£30,100 — about 72% — was recovered, mainly because the USDT sat at identifiable exchanges long enough for freeze requests to land.

DRisk indicators

  • A “free” signals group that steers everyone to one specific broker.
  • Screenshots of constant wins with no verifiable track record.
  • Pressure from admins to deposit more and “copy the desk.”
  • A fee or “profit-release deposit” required to withdraw.
  • Being muted or removed the moment you question anything.
